About Heartland Neuropsychology and Mental Wellness

Dr. Clausen received her doctoral degree from the University of Tulsa. She completed her pre-doctoral residency at the Durham VA Medical Center, and a joint post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University and the VA VISN 6 MIRECC in neuropsychology and neuroimaging. She is trained as a neuropsychologist, and has extensive experience providing evidence-based therapies for trauma-exposed populations. Dr. Clausen is currently providing mental health services to individuals seeking trauma-informed care. She specializes in treatment for first responders and Veterans. She also consults with first responders throughout the midwest, providing consultation services on mental health and resiliency. In her free time, Dr. Clausen loves spending time outdoors, "playing in the dirt" (despite being a terrible gardener), or doing just about anything with her pups.
